Welcome to this week’s edition of What’s Up, Tigard?, your Friday rundown of how the Tigard Chamber has been championing local business and community vitality. From energizing networking events to behind-the-scenes advocacy at City Hall and beyond, we’ve packed a lot into the past few days and we’re excited to share the highlights with you. Grab your favorite drink and settle in for a quick read, and see how the Tigard Chamber has been working for you and the broader Tigard community.
The clock is ticking on the Tigard Farmers Market 2025 season. The market will be temporarily moving to the Tigard Public Works parking lot at 8777 SW Burnham Street from October 12th to October 26th. The time remains the same, 9:00am to 1:30pm. Don’t miss out on the delicious fall flavors making their appearance each week!
Our staff traveled down to Seven Feathers Casino Resort earlier this week for the 2025 Oregon State Chamber of Commerce (OSCC) Annual Leadership Conference. Some of the conference highlights included an update from an OSCC Lobbyist on what to look out for in 2026, how to utilize AI in everyday work functions, and recommendations on how to keep collaboration at the forefront in everything we do. A huge congratulations goes out to our CEO Megan De Salvo who was given the first ever Emerging Executive award!
Good Morning Tigard was hosted by Kathleen Loucks with Mary Kay this week at the King City Senior Center. There was a great turnout, and we had an opportunity to meet the new Executive Director of the King City Senior Center while we were there. Hope to see everyone at GMT again next week!
Ainsley has been hard at work revamping our Affinity Group program! This week she held the Tigard Young Professionals Kickoff Mixer at Kona Grill. The event attracted a great crowd, including some new guests, and sparked some excitement for future meetings. Stay tuned for more information on an educational event by year end and look for additional programming for our Young Professionals in 2026!
Mark your Calendar! Our fall Speed Networking event presented by Tualatin Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine will take place on Thursday, October 30th at Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Tigard from 7:00am to 9:30pm. You will meet dozens of professionals, expand your reach and referral partners, and walk away with new business opportunities (and plenty of business cards!). Be sure to register for this event on our website. Limited tickets will be available at the door.
Pardon our dust! The Tigard Chamber building will be temporarily closed from October 13-15 while we get a brand-new roof. Thank you for your patience while we get this important work done. If you need immediate assistance, staff can be contacted at (503) 639-1656.
That wraps up our week, but the momentum doesn’t stop here. If one of these initiatives sparked an idea, a partnership, or a question, let us know! Comment below, reach out to the team, or stop by the Tigard Chamber office on Main Street. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for next week’s events (check the Tigard Chamber Calendar for all the details). Together, we’re building a thriving and resilient Tigard one conversation, one connection, and one bold step at a time.
See you out there!
Your Tigard Chamber Staff
