What’s Up, Tigard? – Engagement, Leadership & Opportunity

Welcome to this week’s edition of What’s Up, Tigard?, your Friday rundown of how the Tigard Chamber has been championing local business and community vitality. From energizing networking events to behind-the-scenes advocacy at City Hall and beyond, we’ve packed a lot into the past few days and we’re excited to share the highlights with you. Grab your favorite drink and settle in for a quick read, and see how the Tigard Chamber has been working for you and the broader Tigard community.

Our Leadership Tigard Class of 2025 graduates put the finishing touches on their class project, Do Your Duty: Help Tigard Families in Need, with the distribution of thousands of diapers and wipes to various local nonprofit organizations including the Good Neighbor Center, Packed with Pride, Bethlehem House of Bread and others. Thank you to everyone who made an impactful donation to the diaper drive, it was a huge success! Interested in taking part in Leadership Tigard? We are currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 cohort. Visit our website for more information.

One of our core objectives is to Provide Opportunities to Build Business Relationships and Ainsley did just that with her tour of Fought & Co. alongside Congresswoman Andrea Salinas and her team. This tour allowed the group to chat with them about their current issues and needs, while making valuable business connections. In addition to the tour, Ainsley attended the first Women to Women Network event as part of our new partnership that provides each of our current members with a reciprocal discounted offer of $75 off enrollment. Women to Women Network provides a forum for collaboration, mentoring, and sharing ideas, resources, and inspiration.

This week’s Good Morning Tigard was joined with a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the opening of Tigard Pediatric Dentistry. Congratulations to Dr. Peter and his family on this big milestone! Be sure to check them out for your youth dentistry needs.

Do you love the local art in Downtown Tigard?! Ainsley attended the monthly Tigard Downtown Alliance board meeting where they discussed the various public art projects throughout the downtown corridor and some new programming that may be unveiled soon. Keep your eyes peeled for more on this topic!

We wrapped up the week with a birthday party at Summerlake Park. The Tigard Area Chamber of Commerce turns 70 this year! Our celebration included delicious pizza donated by Pizza Caboose, refreshing drinks donated by Three Mermaids Public House and a beautiful cake donated by the Good Cake Bakery. Guests played lawn games, networked, laughed and reflected on 70 amazing years of the Tigard Chamber. We are looking forward to many more years of Building Business & Growing Together!

Beat the heat this Sunday at the Tigard Farmers Market in Universal Plaza from 9:00am to 1:30pm. The early bird gets the berries and the splash pad is a great way to cool off while exploring all of the local vendors, food trucks and more!

That wraps up our week, but the momentum doesn’t stop here. If one of these initiatives sparked an idea, a partnership, or a question, let us know! Comment below, reach out to the team, or stop by the Tigard Chamber office on Main Street. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for next week’s events (check the Tigard Chamber Calendar for all the details). Together, we’re building a thriving and resilient Tigard one conversation, one connection, and one bold step at a time.

See you out there!
