What’s Up, Tigard? – Community, Connection and Sunshine!

Welcome to this week’s edition of What’s Up, Tigard?, your Friday rundown of how the Tigard Chamber has been championing local business and community vitality. From energizing networking events to behind-the-scenes advocacy at City Hall and beyond, we’ve packed a lot into the past few days and we’re excited to share the highlights with you. Grab your favorite drink and settle in for a quick read, and see how the Tigard Chamber has been working for you and the broader Tigard community.

This week was fully loaded with networking and community updates. From the City of Tigard Community Roundtable to the Good Neighbor Center Community Open House, our team was busy connecting with our members, local nonprofits and city leaders while taking notes on how we can help be a catalyst for business growth and address key community issues. Megan personally sat down with the Chief of Police Jamie McDonald and the Community Development Manager to ensure we are all making strides towards a better quality of life here in Tigard. She also attended the Tigard Downtown Alliance board meeting where she advocates for a vibrant, thriving downtown corridor for both locals and tourists to enjoy.

Our weekly Good Morning Tigard networking event was held at Tualatin Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine. We love waking up early with our members to share information about their businesses and help facilitate new meaningful business connections. Looking for a new approach to your healthcare? Schedule a visit with Dr. Julia Walls who specializes in pain management, chronic health conditions and women’s health.

Beat the heat and head out early this Sunday to the Tigard Farmers Market in Universal Plaza from 9:00am to 1:30pm. Every week is a new adventure with different vendors, local entertainment, seasonal goodies and of course, the splash pad! Be sure to stop by the Market Sprouts Kids Club booth to sign up, participate in the weekly activity and try to win a fun prize!

That wraps up our week, but the momentum doesn’t stop here. If one of these initiatives sparked an idea, a partnership, or a question, let us know! Comment below, reach out to the team, or stop by the Tigard Chamber office on Main Street. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for next week’s events (check the Tigard Chamber Calendar for all the details). Together, we’re building a thriving and resilient Tigard one conversation, one connection, and one bold step at a time.

See you out there!
