Grab your favorite drink and settle in for a quick read, and see how the Tigard Chamber has been working for you and the broader Tigard community.
Our ribbon cutting events are one of our favorite ways to welcome new, and sometimes reimagined, businesses to Tigard. This week we celebrated two local businesses! The first event featured the Grand Re-Opening of Bridge to Home Family Promise of Tualatin Valley where attendees, including representatives from all levels of governance, enjoyed self-led tours of the newly renovated facility. The second event celebrated the Grand Opening of Tigard’s newest childcare center, Safari Kid, where attendees toured the brand-new classrooms and facilities and learned how this new center will support families and help our community thrive!
Megan met with both the Mayor of Tigard and the City Manager this week to continue to streamline efforts to serve the local business community. She also attended the City Council Meeting on Tuesday evening where they discussed the Building a Better Tigard Campaign, houselessness, and the Sheriff Office report. She wrapped up the week with a tour of the new Ava Roasteria facility in Downtown Tigard alongside the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Manager for the City of Tigard and others.
Networking with our members remained at the forefront this week as we hosted an After Hours networking event in the beautiful meeting space at Kona Grill on Tuesday evening, a Member Orientation at our office on Wednesday, and Good Morning Tigard (GMT) at the Tigard Masonic Lodge on Thursday. GMT attendees learned all about the lodge, its history and the philanthropic nature of the Tigard Free Masons. Looking for more ways to connect with our business community? Check out the calendar on our website for opportunities and details!
