Welcome to this week’s edition of What’s Up, Tigard?, your Friday rundown of how the Tigard Chamber has been championing local business and community vitality. From energizing networking events to behind-the-scenes advocacy at City Hall and beyond, we’ve packed a lot into the past few days and we’re excited to share the highlights with you. Grab your favorite drink and settle in for a quick read, and see how the Tigard Chamber has been working for you and the broader Tigard community.
Community is at the heart of everything we do and our CEO Megan was busy meeting with several key constituents this week. She sat down with House Majority Leader Representative Ben Bowman, Councilwoman Jeanette Shaw, attended the Tigard Community Round Table and the Tigard Triangle Development meetings, and held the monthly Washington County Chamber of Commerce Partnership meeting alongside other chamber CEO’s in the region. These important meetings help Megan fulfill our purpose of being a catalyst for business growth, a convener of leaders & influencers, and a champion for stronger communities.
This week’s Good Morning Tigard was held at the new Fit Alliance location in Beaverton. Not only did we network, we also held a ribbon cutting for them as they opened their new doors to the Beaverton community! Their Tigard location remains open, and they are eager to connect you to a program that works for you. Stop into one of their locations and jumpstart your personal training goals!
The Roastery at Ava’s Roasteria hosted our After Hours networking event on Thursday night and it was the perfect ambiance to wind down after a busy workday. The espresso martinis were flowing and the conversations never stopped! Stop in for a cocktail and check out this new lounge in Downtown Tigard soon.
Our fall Speed Networking event presented by Tualatin Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine will take place on Thursday, October 30th at Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Tigard from 7:00am to 9:30am. You will meet dozens of professionals, expand your reach and referral partners, and walk away with new business opportunities (and plenty of business cards!). Be sure to register for this event on our website by Tuesday, October 28th. Limited tickets will be available at the door.
Sunday is the final Tigard Farmers Market of the 2025 season. The market has temporarily moved to the Tigard Public Works parking lot at 8777 SW Burnham Street. The time remains the same, 9:00am to 1:30pm. There will be trick-or-treating for the kids and the annual Dog Contest this week! Show off your costumes, shop your favorite market vendors and stock up for the cold weather season.
That wraps up our week, but the momentum doesn’t stop here. If one of these initiatives sparked an idea, a partnership, or a question, let us know! Comment below, reach out to the team, or stop by the Tigard Chamber office on Main Street. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for next week’s events (check the Tigard Chamber Calendar for all the details). Together, we’re building a thriving and resilient Tigard one conversation, one connection, and one bold step at a time.
See you out there!
Your Tigard Chamber Staff
