Collaboration was front and center this week as we participated in meetings and networking events with various organizations. Makenna kicked off the week with a tour alongside the Tigard-Tualatin School District and Fought & Company where they brainstormed some exciting internship opportunities coming soon! Megan and Ainsley attended the Washington County Small Business Support Network meeting where they met with other chambers and organizations across Washington County to strategize all things small business and how best to support their success. Later in the week Megan also met with her Executive Director Peer Learning Group to share resources and best practices.
We love ribbon cuttings and this week we celebrated two of them! First up was the opening of the new US Bank ATM on Pacific Highway. The second was for My Gym SW Portland today. Congratulations to both businesses! We can’t wait to see you thrive in Tigard!
Thursday was another big day for events. Our Good Morning Tigard event was held at Gentle Chiro this week. Attendees enjoyed meeting their team, learning more about their services, and getting a first-hand preview of the state-of-the-art technology at their newly updated facility. Thursday night was the 2025 Washington County Chamber of Commerce Partnership (WCCCP) Legislative Debrief held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Tigard. State Representatives and Senators from across Washington County were in attendance as well as staff from all Chambers of Commerce in Washington County. The panel of elected officials participated in a Q&A session followed by comments about this legislative session. It was an informative night!
